Hi everyone! I’m Anna Neatrour, and I’m presenting on the panel. Happy to hear questions and comments on the topic!
Hi, Anna, all! This is Amy Kirchhoff with JSTOR & Portico. Excited for the session!
From the chat running next to the live presentation, Rachel Wittmann says: “Here is the link to the Kennecott Miner Records collection in the University of Utah digital library - Kennecott Miner Records | University of Utah Marriott Library | J. Willard Marriott Digital Library”
Hi all! Kirt von Daacke here from the University of Virginia. Excited for the session and conversation!
We’ve published an article about the Utah Collections as Data efforts as well if anyone wants more in depth information: From Digital Library to Open Datasets | Information Technology and Libraries
Thanks to all panelists on this important public humanities conversation - would be great to continue that with you and if I might share link to our Publishing and the Publicly Engaged Humanities group co-convened with NHA - which to the point made by @kv2h - the challenges we identify need LOTS of people to make the change Discussion – Publishing and the Publicly Engaged Humanities – Humanities Commons
I know I am really excited to use Constellate for my own research. I am going to using it to perform textual analysis of library technology articles to determine if there is a discipline of library technology that women’s voice appear to be absent.
Great! Let us know how it goes. There are plenty of library and information science journals in both JSTOR and Portico that are available for analysis.
Thanks for the link - I haven’t been engaged with the Humanities Commons before but I will check it out
Not sure if my comment was registered during the session, but I think Constellate will give a lot of the CAQDAS (qualitative data analysis) tools a run for their money and I look forward to testing it out in my owne research.
